Never Quit - Recon 5 and Win Streaks

Walt Disney once said "The difference in winning and losing is most often ... not quitting." No better words could describe how hard Recon 5 has fought over the past 3 weeks. In eSports, winning is how you make a name for yourself, your team, and how you get championships. Within this short time frame, Recon 5 has done something unimaginable in winning 3 straight leagues and tournaments thanks to the work of Recon 5 Violet, Recon 5 Midnight and Recon 5 White.

Violet has been competing in the Upsurge Minor League. After a rough first start going 1-2 in the first 3 weeks, things weren't looking great halfway through the league. Luckily for them, they weren't the only one's struggling. Anything was possible at this point, but winning would become the key to making it up the group ladder. For the next 3 weeks, everything turned around and clicked for the team. Their streak started and never stopped. They would go 3-0 to secure themselves a spot in the playoffs. But that's not where the streak ends. Their rampage would continue through the playoffs, going undefeated to become the Upsurge Minor League champions. They never lost another series from week 4 on.

A couple weeks later, our Midnight team had decided to enter themselves in the VNM Call of Duty Black Ops 4 tournament, putting themselves on the line against several competitive teams. They would end up never losing a game, entering the grand finals and after some very close rounds going back and forth, finishing the grand finals as winners and champions.

Only a day after Midnight brought home the second championship in a row, White would finish their spectacular run in Season 6 of the ABL Series. Having started the season back in late January, it was a similar story for White as it was for Violet. For the first 3 weeks, it was a hard struggle, going 0-3 to start the season. For the next 6 weeks, not only would White take every series, but they wouldn't lose a single game in any of those series entering them into the playoffs. At this point, they had one of the longest win streaks to date in the league, but that wasn't enough. They would continue their streak and end up never losing a single game in the playoffs either, tallying a record-breaking 21 wins back-to-back to enter themselves as Champions in the hall of fame.

Even when odds are stacked against you, beating them is never impossible. If you give up halfway, you'll never feel the chance to win. Winners never quit, they only become champions.
